Be Strong

Time for the "Be Strong," Las Sendas Ward Youth Conference from April 30 - May 1, 2010. We went to Thatcher, Arizona in the south eastern part of the state. We camped at Roper State Park for Friday night.

Saturday morning we worked on clearing a ditch for one of the hot springs before we began our workshops. The youth worked amazingly hard on opening up the ditch that was cover in cattails, grasses, weeds, and other bog loving flora.
   Noun 1. bog plant:

a semiaquatic plant that grows in soft wet land; most are monocots: sedge, sphagnum, grasses, cattails, etc; possibly heath
Afterward, we returned to camp for great workshops.

Sis R gave a workshop on dating etiquette, which was full of so much information and fun.

Bro S taught about courage and strength for the youth in today's world.

After the great workshops, thanks to Bro U  and Bro McB we had a fabulous New York Deli lunch.

Most of us wanted a quiet nap but we needed to get cleaned up for our drive to visit President Kimball's boyhood home and the open house for the Gila Valley Temple.

It was a great weekend to learn about being strong & courageous in today's world.

Thanks to Bro & Sis McB for an AMAZING weekend!
